Q. How many colors of sand should I use for sand art?
A. At least three, but usually no more than eight. Too many colors confuses children.

Q. What size sand art bottle is a good size for a birthday party craft project?
A. Any of the 4-6 oz. sand art bottles are appropriate.

Q. We are doing a fund raiser for our scout troop. Should we do more than three types of bottles?
A. Depending on the number of people you expect to attend, an assortment of three to six styles of sand art bottles is adequate.

Q. Which sand art bottle can be used as party favors?
A. Any of our sand art bottles can. All of Catskill mountain Industries' sand art bottles are made of food-grade plastics. Therefore, the sand art bottles can be used as party favors by filling them with mints or candies.

Q. Can Catskill Mountain Industries' sand art bottles be used for herbal lotions or creams?
A. Yes. It is best to use a bottle that uses a screw-on cap.

Q. Which sand art bottles do you suggest be used as anchors for balloon bouquets?
A. Any of our larger sand art bottles can be used. Fill the sand art bottles with candy or tumbled glass beads for weight.

Q. How do I know how much sand I need to buy?
A. Multiply the liquid measure of the sand art bottle by 1.5. For example, a 4-oz. bottle needs 6 oz. of sand.

A. No. Affix the postage to the neck of the sand art bottle and secure the cork or cap with tape.

Q. What are some other uses for my left over colored sand?
A. Dress up your planters with a layer of colored sand on top. Colored sand can be put between the pavers on your patio for an extra burst of color. You can layer colored sand in a large glass container and add a votive candle for a special center piece. This is perfect for an inexpensive wedding reception center piece. Add sand art bottles filled with mints and the wedding table is inexpensively decorated.
